Умение выделять в тексте характеристики объекта, наиболее важные для подтверждения определенного положения
Цель ЛР данного типа состоит в том, чтобы научить студентов слушать текст, отделяя главную информацию от второстепенной не только с учетом цели, стоящей перед говорящим, но и с точки зрения дальнейшего использования этой информации в собственном высказывании, несколько ином по коммуникативному намерению. Чтобы эффективно отделять главную информацию от второстепенной, учащийся должен уже уметь определять основной объект и цель высказывания, а также выделять существенные характеристики (признаки) объекта высказывания. В свою очередь, вычленение существенных признаков создает предпосылки для того, чтобы располагать признаки объекта в определенной иерархии и уточнять коммуникативное намерение говорящего. Без умения вычленять наиболее значимые признаки объекта невозможно научить студентов слушать, понимать и в дальнейшем использовать лекции по теоретическим дисциплинам и различным вопросам, связанным с изучаемой тематикой. Наконец, это умение коррелирует со способностью логически строить высказывание в говорении и письменном выражении мыслей: в процессе аудирования слушающий учится отбирать информацию для собственного высказывания, располагать признаки объекта по степени их важности в соответствии с целью собственного высказывания.
В связи с тем что выполнение ЛР подобного типа требует не только контроля каждой ее части, но и подробного обсуждения характеристик объекта, важных для доказательства того или иного утверждения, этот тип ЛР предназначается для выполнения в аудитории.
Структура ЛР:
1. Ознакомление со списком характеристик объекта высказывания, прослушивание текста и отбор из списка характеристик, упомянутых в тексте.
2. Отбор из этого же списка тех характеристик, которые понадобились бы для объяснения или доказательства предложенных мнений по поводу объекта высказывания.
3. Прослушивание сокращенного варианта того же текста, для того чтобы определить, судя по упомянутым деталям, какой именно из рассмотренных перед этим тезисов хотел доказать или объяснить автор.
4. Вторичное прослушивание исходного (полного) текста с заданием отобрать и воспроизвести те характеристики объекта высказывания, которые служили бы доказательством еще одного утверждения по данной проблеме.
ЛР данного типа является аудиторной, аудиовизуальной, устно-письменной (или устной, если характеристики объекта не отмечаются на листе ответа, а называются вслух).
Примечание:
Последняя часть ЛР данного типа является одновременно заданием, связывающим ЛР с дальнейшими аудиторными заданиями, поскольку имеет ярко выраженную репродуктивную направленность.

As you know, every speaker pans his speech according to a certain purpose. And if you do not need the facts you have, you are free to choose the essentia ones and disregard the others. But the thing is that the same information may be usefu for a number of purposes. And every time you turn to it, you will ook for a different set of detais.
To seect the necessary information, you have to understand all the important facts and ideas that the text contains.
Read the list of characteristics, isten to the text and tick those that are to be found in the text.
Sports and Games
Some peope think that sports and games are unimportant things that peope do at times when they are not working, instead of going to the cinema, istening to the radio, or seeping. But in fact, sports and games can be of great vaue especiay to peope who work with their brains most of the day, and shoud not be treated ony as amusements Sports and games make our bodies strong, pre-vent us from getting too fat, and keep us heathy. But these are not their ony uses. They give us vauabe practice in making eyes, brain and musces work together. In tennis, our eyes see the ba coming, judge its speed and direction and pass the information on to the brain. The brain then has to decide what to do, and to send its orders to the musces of the arms, egs, and so on, so that the ba is met and hit back where it ought to go. All this must happen with very great speed, and ony those who have had a ot of practice at tennis can carry out this compicated chain of events successfuy. For those who workwith their brains most of the day, the practice of such skis is especiay usefu.
Sports and games are aso very usefu for character training. In their essons at schoo, boys and girs may earn about such virtues as unsefishness, courage, discipine and ove of one's country; but what is earned in books cannot have the same deep effect on a chid's character as what is earned by experience. The ordinary day schoo cannot give much practica training in iving, because must of the pupis' time is spent in classes, studying essons. So it is what the pupis do in their free time that reay prepares them to take their pace in society as citizens when they grow up. If each of them earns to work for his team and not for himsef on the footba fied, he will ater find it natura to work for the good of his country.
